The experience centres on a menu chosen by the host. It might feature a favourite recipe, seasonal dishes or food designed for sharing. The listing in the app introduces the actual menu: read the dishes, look at their presentation and picture the occasion you would like to share.

Alongside the menu is a person introducing themselves and their cooking. Take a moment to read their profile: it can help you understand the character of the experience and choose something that interests you. Look for the details that interest you in the photographs: how the food is presented, the spaces and the atmosphere described in the profile.

How it differs from ordering a delivery

When ordering a delivery, your main choice is what food arrives at your home. At a home restaurant, you also choose where to go and who will welcome you. The meal has a date, a time and a number of available places. Your choice includes both the food and how that table will fit into your evening.

Each proposal can have its own character. Read how the welcome is described and which details are available about the meal itself. Think about whether it suits what you are looking for: a pause during a trip, an occasion to share with someone or the pleasure of trying a different style of cooking.

From exploring the map to sending a request

In the Horecos app, you can explore the map, browse menus and host profiles, and check availability in your chosen area. Actual availability depends on the location and dates; you can find it in the app.

Once you find a suitable option, choose a date and the number of guests, check the summary and send a request. The host needs to accept it before it becomes a confirmed booking. What to read before making your choice

Consider the whole menu. Its title might draw you in, but the description explains what is included. Check the total shown before you send the request, including any applicable fees. If you are going with other people, share those details with them before deciding.

• Are the date, time and number of guests correct?
• Have you read the profile and any available reviews?
• Have you checked the applicable cancellation conditions?
